Have you felt loved today? Have you felt like someone cares about you? That you're taken care of? Do you feel safe and secure?
Sure, the wonderful people in our lives can make us feel this way, but only if we allow them. What happens when we don't even love ourselves? <Insert: a tug on your heart, because you know you've felt it.>
If I were to ask you what you thought was the most fundamental basis of wellness, what would you say? Eating right..maintaining a healthy weight...spirituality? All are for sure critical aspects to wellness, but there is something even more crucial that we need to achieve these aspects of wellness.
Self-responsibly and self-LOVE are at the core of living a well life. Think about it: how can you achieve anything if you don't even believe in yourself or if you don't even care about yourself enough to take the time and be aware of your wellness needs? All wellness starts with a desire to take care, to LOVE, if you will, yourself.
So, what happens when we don't love ourselves? Well, we don't achieve what we're truly capable of achieving. Again, everyone in the world can love you, but it won't matter if you don't love yourself.
The questions then become: have you felt loved internally today? Do you care about yourself today? What steps have you taken to care for yourself today; to feel safe and secure?
If you are struggling to achieve your innermost goals, ask yourself: do I really LOVE myself?
