Life Coach Chat-July 11, 2012

I'm going to start a new series of posts called, "Life Coach Chat". Each Wednesday, I will explore the many ways in which life coaching can help you and your loved ones live out your truest goals and most authentic paths.

The question I probably get most from people is, "so, what can life coaching actually do for people?" And it's a great question. I've written about the basics of life coaching in a previous post, but since the sky is the limit with what life coaching can help with (in accordance with the individual), I figured it would be nice to give some relate-able examples weekly.

One major and obvious topic, especially in the U.S., is the matter of weight-loss.

Yes, if one of your goals is to lose weight, life coaching can help. But it's not about what to eat, what not to eat, diets, how much to workout, are you obese?, what's your body fat percentage?, no---it's about clarifying your true desire to lose the weight, designing a path the fits YOU uniquely and having someone to keep you accountable, motivated and walk (or jog, dance, swim, run, kayak, etc) alongside you on your path. Life coaching can give you resources and help you find the energy and determination within yourself to achieve your goal. And if there is an underlying want/desire/need that is being masked by the goal of "weight-loss", life coaching can help you unearth what's really at your core.

One of my favorite things about what I do is that I truly believe that my clients (and my potential clients) are whole, capable people who have the answers already within them. I see it within them everyday and their wins inspire me! They simply need me to help bring out their inner-spark that will lead them to JOY through their goals.

I try to blog daily about topics and ways in which I've seen life coaching completely change people's lives, but make sure to check back every Wednesday for more specific areas/topics/issues/goals/needs that life coaching can help you with!
